Elmer F. Blonien Post 485, the American Legion, Rudolph, held its regular meeting Oct. 10 with 47 members present. New member Douglas Kasten of Port Edwards signed up, bringing membership to 123.

The post will participate in Veterans Day programs at Think Academy in Rudolph and Our Lady Queen of Heaven School in Wisconsin Rapids.

The post will operate a soup kitchen at the annual Rudolph Country Kitchen celebration Dec. 14. Members will march hat day in the parade at 5:15 p.m. The color guard will be at the Pearl Harbor Day program at 11 a.m. Dec. 7.

The post is preparing its annual "25 Days of Christmas" raffle. The next meeting is at 7 p.m. Dec. 12.
