The 2013-14 Beta Sigma Phi sorority year began Aug. 28 with the traditional salad supper at the home of President Sue Becker. This year's theme is "Light Up Your Life."

The Sept. 11 meeting was hosted by Kay Friday. Member communication via social media was presented. Work on the holiday stocking project has begun with a new design in the works and the workroom students at Lincoln High School began sewing the stockings.

On Sept. 25, members met at the home of Terry Wunrow and discussion took place on the 2014 Beta Sigma Phi convention, which Gamma Phi will co-host. Patti Olinyk is chair of the Saturday holiday expo and needs help finding willing vendors.

Oct. 9 members gathered at the home of Doreen Alfred. Members received their assignments for the holiday stockings and Doreen gave a program on salt water taffy.
