This has been one of those years marked by extreme variability. We've experienced the extremes of wet and dry, planting dates spanned two months, and crop growth was all over the board both within and between fields.

We can likely expect this same variability to exist for crop yields this fall along with differential grain moisture and test weight. The relationship between bushel measurements, grain test weight and moisture often is cause for confusion.
