Oct. 20, 1930 - WHBY to open new station: Radio station WHBY, the St. Norbert College station at West De Pere, will formally dedicate its new transmitter and power station, at the southern limits of West De Pere on U.S. Highway 41, beginning at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon and continuing without interruption until 12:30 o'clock Tuesday morning.

The present transmitter will make its final appearance on the air at exactly 12:59 noon, and the current will be switched to the new transmitter one minute later, with the Rev. James A. Wagner, director of WHBY, performing the introduction. From then until 2 o'clock, appropriate ceremonies will officially dedicate the new transmitter.

At 2 o'clock the Green Bay studio will be the point of origin, for a half hour of old time and popular dance tunes by Kocian's orchestra.

Claire Wilson and his orchestra will close the dedication broadcast, with a solid hour of dance music, beginning at 11:30 o'clock.
