Jim Zima bowling column: USBC proposes inspection teams

The United States Bowling Congress is going to institute a study to explore the feasibility of using professional teams to handle lane inspections for USBC certification, a job now done by local bowling associations.

Wisconsin is one of four states, with Idaho, Montana and Wyoming, that have been chosen to implement the program beginning with the 2014-15 season.

Locally, the announcement has been met with mixed reactions and a wait-and-see attitude. ...
