Milwaukee native Bill Weir, who has co-anchored ABC News' "Nightline" since 2010, is moving to CNN.

Weir, who worked at WLUK, Channel 11, in the early 1990s, will start at CNN in November as an anchor and will also cover innovation and technology.

"Bill's range, sensibility and curiosity set him apart," said CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker. "He brings a unique storytelling style, perspective and sense of humor."

"Good Morning America" co-anchor Dan Harris will take over Weir's "Nightline" hosting duties. Harris, who will continue at "GMA," joins Cynthia McFadden and Dan Abrams at "Nightline.''
