Girls swimming: Brillion-Valders-Chilton wins Manty Invite

The host Manitowoc Lincoln swimming team won 7-of-11 event on Saturday at the Manty Invite, but it was the Brillion-Valders-Chilton co-op which won the meet with 367 points.

Taylor Winkel and Emma Waack each won two individual events to pace the Ships. Winkel took first in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:31.61 and 100 backstroke (1:04.88) while Waack did the same in the 50 (26.30) and 100 (57.66) freestyles.

The duo was also part of the 200 medley relay team, along with teammates Breanna Ruffolo and Isabel Strazny, who set the meet record with a time of 1:59.34. The previous record was ...
