Drug Court didn't just teach Serah Muinde how to handle her addiction.

She learned the importance of volunteering her time. Not only did her work help the organizations she volunteered for, but the efforts also helped shape her view of the world and how that impacted her addiction.

"It taught me that being self-centered gets you nowhere," said the 39-year-old Oshkosh woman, who recently marked five-years drug-free. "That's a huge part of my illness - being self-centered - and that will get me using any day." ...
