Central Wisconsin native raises hunger awareness

A Stevens Point native, with a passion for giving back, will be in Wausau on Tuesday to raise awareness of hunger in the Wausau area.

Wayne Kostroski, founder of Taste of the NFL, will speak Tuesday at the UW-Marathon County's Center for Civic Engagement at an event called Giving is Good Business. Kostroski will share with attendees how his organization has raised more than $14 million for hunger relief nationwide, and how people can tackle the issue locally.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Daily Herald Media Stock the Shelves campaign, which gives money to eight area food ...
