Four people from Brussels were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 11:52 a.m. Sunday in the town of Gardner.

Devin Thomas Jeanquart, 24, was traveling west in a Dodge Ram pickup truck on County K when Brent Thomas Claflin, 55, was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with County K in a Chevrolet Malibu facing south on Stevenson Pier Road, according to a Door County Sheriff accident report.

Claflin slowly traveled into the intersection to check traffic and stopped but did not see the oncoming truck. The report notes an area of cattails at the corner of the intersection. Jeanquart braked but was unable to avoid a collision. Claflin's car rotated clockwise and came to rest in the ditch. Jeanquart traveled a short distance on County K and stopped.

Both drivers and a passenger in each vehicle, Natika Jeanquart and Sydney Claflin, all of Brussels, were injured but not medically transported.

Claflin was cited for failing to yield the right of way and his car was very severely damaged.

Jeanquart's truck, owned by Kevin D. Lemmon, Brussels, received minor damage.
