Student injured in school bus crash

An elementary school student was injured in a crash involving a school bus Monday morning.

A school bus was heading east on South Park Avenue at 7:15 a.m. when it was struck by a Chevy Trail Blazer driven by a 40-year-old woman that ran a red light at the intersection with Oregon Street and struck the rear of the bus.

The woman was arrested for hit-and-run causing injury, a first time offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence-drugged driving, and cited for a red light violation, said Joe Nichols, spokesman for the Oshkosh Police Department. ...
