Omro couple worried after stray bullet strikes son's bedroom

An Omro couple hope police ensure no one else returns home to find a stray bullet hole in their home, let alone in a 6-year-old child's bedroom window.

Tim and Carrie Sauer said they returned home Oct. 14 from a weekend away to find a hole in a bedroom window and a chunk missing from a wooden closet door in their Justin Drive home. Initially, they could not find the bullet, leaving them confused about what had caused the damage. A short while after reporting the case to police, Tim Sauer said the 9 millimeter bullet turned up among his stepson's toys.
