BloodCenter of WI hosts drive

BloodCenter of Wisconsin is asking Fond du Lac-area residents to donate blood at its upcoming drive at All About Life Rehabil-itation Center from 1 to 5 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 115 E. Arndt St., Fond du Lac. Donors can make an appointment by calling 877-BE-A-HERO (877-232-4376) or www.bcw.edu/FDLHeroes.

Every four seconds, someone in the Fond du Lac County area receives a blood transfusion.

Anyone 16 or older who is in general good health and meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. Parental consent is required for 16-year-olds to donate. Donors should bring a photo ID that includes birth date.
