Dairy farmers, veterinarians closely monitor antibiotic use

As a dairy cattle veterinarian based in Lena, I oversee the health of more than 12,000 cows on approximately 60 farms. Everyday, my job is to ensure my dairy cow patients are in the best possible health.

Unfortunately, there has been a lot of recent news coverage criticizing the dairy industry as a whole, specifically around antibiotics - and I think it's important to address some of the concerns among consumers so that they can understand the measures set in place by veterinarians to ensure that they have a safe food supply.
