Egg Harbor property finally approved for future construction

With layout approval for five waterfront lots of at least 1.5 acres in size, a 10-year effort to redraw lot lines on a prime portion of Horseshoe Bay Farms came to a close at the Egg Harbor Town Board meeting Monday night.

The process began in 2003 when the owners of the Horseshoe Bay Farms property at that time first asked the town board to abandon a layout of never built streets shown on a 1920 plat map of land between the Green Bay shore and what is now County G. The nearly century old subdivision plat called for 50-feet wide lots where cottages could be constructed. No development ever occurred.
