Holiday Music Motel setting up a Second Line parade to celebrate Triplett, open 'Dark Songs'

The Holiday Music Motel suffered a devastating blow in August when Billy Triplett, the in-house recording engineer for the motel's studio, passed away suddenly after a long battle with congestive heart failure and diabetes.

Since his passing, motel operators pat mAcdonald and melaniejane, who also direct Steel Bridge Songfest and the other various songwriting workshop/live performance festivals at the motel, have contemplated how best to honor Triplett at next week's "Dark Songs" Halloween-themed songwriting event.
