Saturday is the last chance to head outdoors for the Downtown Appleton Farm Market. It ends its outdoor run and then moves inside City Center Plaza beginning Nov. 2 and running through March 29.

Local farmers markets in the Fox Cities thrive on shoppers like you, those who visit these gathering areas for farmers and merchants to sell their locally grown produce, crafts and other items.

Supporting the farmers, growers, businesses and individuals who sell their wares and services at local farmers markets is a great way to help keep your dollars local.

These last few weeks of the outdoor market season are some of the best to get great deals on freshly grown produce as well as try out new crops you may have never thought of before.

For everything from locally grown, organic mushrooms to potatoes, heirloom tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins, squash and more, you'll find it all at one of our area's local farmers markets.

If you haven't visited a farmers market in your community, make it a point to visit over the next week or so, when you'll discover a wealth of colorful, flavorful varieties of your favorite fresh fruits, vegetables and more.
