On Broadway discusses Walmart, other issues

On Broadway Inc.'s annual meeting did nothing to resolve the debate over whether Walmart should be allowed to build a store in the district, but it did give parties a chance for face-to-face discussion of the issue.

"Is it a big question whether Walmart belongs here? Yes," said Christopher Naumann, executive director of On Broadway Inc. "It's a conversation we need to have."

Specific questions could not be answered, however, because Walmart has not made a formal proposal to the Larsen Green governing board, made up of three city and three On Broadway Inc. representatives. On Broadway owns ...
