Mercy Health Foundation, the Women's Fund of the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and the Oshkosh YMCA are partnering to present a free screening of the moving documentary "Awaken the Dragon" to the Oshkosh community on Oct. 30. This inspirational film follows the story of a team of cancer survivors who train for and compete in a dragon boat race. "Awaken the Dragon" is a celebration of cancer survivorship. Oncologist Dr. Karen Gremminger and cancer survivors who teamed-up with her to compete in Oshkosh's own dragon boat races in September will be attending. The screening will be held at the Oshkosh Convention Center with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the film beginning at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, and no reservations are required. This special event is for the whole community and made possible by the generosity of an anonymous donor to Mercy Health Foundation.
