The Port Edwards Education Foundation, or PEEF, board of directors has initiated its 17th annual campaign for financial support of student enrichment projects for the School District of Port Edwards.
At the October board meeting, Board President Ed Heuer again praised the efforts of the group members for their dedication to the foundation and continued enthusiasm promoting its successes. Heuer said, "Our annual financial campaign is the cornerstone for allowing student opportunities that normally can't be funded through traditional district resources. Since the foundation's inception, we've now approved nearly 100 grant applications over the years totaling nearly $150,000 due to the continued generosity of our many contributors."
Most recently, proceeds from the annual Blackhawk Scramble and "Planned Giving" initiative also have grown to funding opportunities. Annual letters for support are being mailed soon, and parties with additional questions are asked to call either Ed Heuer, 715-887-3758, or Lisa Machotka, 715-887-2060.
