Car explodes at American Implement in Fond du Lac County

Numerous area fire departments were called to the scene of a blaze at American Implement, N6503 Pit Road in Mount Calvary, at about 9 a.m. Thursday.

The fire started when employees used a torch on a junked vehicle, according to a press release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office. The flames then spread to a nearby pile of mechanical debris, which took "considerable effort to extinguish," according to the report.
