EDITOR: Come join us for a political forum to learn more about redistricting reform, campaign financing and voter rights. This free-to-the-public event will take place starting at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Alumni Room of the Dreyfus University Center at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

UWSP political science professor Dennis Riley will moderate a panel made up of: Former U.S. Rep. Dave Obey; Bill Kraus, Republican strategist and Common Cause Wisconsin board member; state Rep. Katrina Shankland; state Sen. Julie Lassa; and Jay Heck, executive director of Common Cause.

Underwritten by a grant from the Joyce Foundation and presented by Common Cause, this event is cosponsored by the Wisconsin Rapids and Stevens Point League of Women Voters; the UWSP Political Science Department; College Democrats; Pi Sigma Alpha; Gender and Sexuality Alliance; the Wisconsin Rapids and Wausau branches of the American Association of University Women; the Wisconsin Alliance for Retired Americans; and the Leage of Women Voters of Wisconsin Education Network.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about those political issues which so influence our democracy. Hope to see you there.
