I was involved in an event last weekend where I was able to pass on to a younger generation something - rare in the 21st century - that was commonplace when I was their age. As a bonus, my involvement resulted in energy savings.

My younger grandson celebrated his 11th birthday in the middle of last week. The birthday party was held last Saturday. My part in passing on history and saving energy involved the doings that day.

Cards and presents were opened at the family home near Madison before all piled into two vehicles for the mile-long trip to the pizza place. ...
