Authorities urge parents to use caution during trick or treat activities

While many children across central Wisconsin are focusing on their annual quest for candy on Thursday, it's up to parents to make sure the only Halloween nightmares are the fun kind.

Parents should have a plan for Halloween, Marshfield Police Chief Gary Jepsen said. Parents should know exactly where children plan to trick-or-treat and children should not deviate from the designated area.

There are 113 registered sex offenders in Wisconsin Rapids, 86 in Stevens Point and 44 in Marshfield, according to Familywatchdog.us. ...
