In a blink, an undefeated season and the state tournament hopes of the Pacelli boys soccer team came to a halt.

When Pedro Ramirez scored the game-winning goal at 93 minutes, 46 seconds, Barron High School capped a 2-1 double-overtime victory during in a WIAA Division 4 sectional final Saturday at Griese Park. The scoring play dashed the Cardinals' state dreams.

The Pacelli players stood on the field stunned as Barron players raced around the field in celebration. Barron entered the postseason seeded fourth after it placed fourth in the Middle Border Conference. ...
