A local nonprofit that aims to end hunger in the Wausau area has partnered with a sports celebrity to raise awareness and collect food for The Neighbors' Place.

Green Bay Packers fullback John Kuhn will be in town Tuesday at D.C. Everest Senior High School to sign autographs for anyone who donates a nonperishable food item to Peyton's Promise.

The Kuhn appearance is part of a deal with Frontier Communications, who reached out to Peyton's Promise for the hunger-awareness event. Kuhn was selected by Frontier and the Green Bay Packers organization because of his commitment to philanthropy. ...
