Final defendant in burglary spree enters pleas

The last of four people charged in a string of burglaries in northeast Wisconsin last year will be sentenced Dec. 19.

Richard T. Michiels, 22, of De Pere, acknowledged his involvement in 14 break-ins in Oconto, Brown and Marinette counties during a plea hearing Oct. 23 in Oconto County Circuit Court.

Michiels entered pleas of no contest to six charges related to burglaries at Gillett Shell and Krist Oil stores in Oconto Falls and Suring, and guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit burglary in Brown County. ...
