The Green Bay Packers’ Week 11 game at the New York Giants has been flexed out of the Sunday night game in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs at the Denver Broncos, the NFL announced today.
The Packers-Giants game on Nov. 17 now will be a 3:25 p.m. start and televised on FOX.
The Chiefs-Broncos game will be their first meeting of the season. The two AFC West Division teams are the leading contenders in the AFC – the Chiefs 8-0 and the Broncos 7-1.
The Packers are an NFC contender at 5-2, but the Giants are only 2-6.
According to a report by Newsday, CBS had protected the Chiefs-Broncos game for its network but voluntarily gave it up so a national audience could see the game because CBS did not have the national-game window that day.
