County employee compensation plan advances

The Door County Board's Administrative committee voted Wednesday to accept a 222-page compensation plan report covering all non-union county employees, effective Jan. 1.

The plan, which calls for establishing a "pay for performance culture," is the third part - along with an employee handbook and an administrative manual - of an overhaul of county employment practices as the result of Wisconsin's Act 10, also known as the 2011 State Budget Repair Bill.
