Gaven Moss said he prefers the idea of owning his own business and not having to work for anyone else.

The 19-year-old Stevens Point resident is now doing just that in his hometown. In October he opened Mossity, located at 964 Main St.

Moss had previously been a dishwasher at Adventure 212, a fitness center, spa and bistro in Plover. But Moss had a goal of opening his own business, and friends not only encouraged him to get into business, but agreed to invest about $6,000 to help him get started. ...
