Homeowners in most Central Wisconsin school districts will see a small reduction to their school tax bill next year thanks to a statewide program to reduce school taxes by $100 million during the next two years.

An owner of a house valued at $148,000, the state's median value, is likely to see a reduction of about $16 if they live in central Wisconsin. However, for those living in about 80 districts, it won't change the size of tax bills, according to an analysis by the nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau.
