Southern Door Elementary School, 2073 County DK in Brussels, is sponsoring a Fall into Books Literacy Night from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Elementary staff plans to read fall themed picture books to attendees. Families attending the event will be able to choose from eight sessions with topics such as "Waniger School," "Room on the Broom," "Instructional Technology" and "Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf." Those taking part in the instructional technology session are encouraged to bring their portable devices.

The event also includes a dinner and book fair. The cost of the dinner is $4 per plate.

Proceeds from the meal and book fair will benefit the elementary libraries and teachers' classroom wish lists, said Missy Bousley, Southern Door Elementary School district reading specialist/Title I coordinator, .

Southern Door families interested in attending should contact Bousley at mbousley@southerndoor.k12.wi.us by 3 p.m. Wednesday.
