Former Packers board member, businessman Fabry dies at 74

John Fabry, a Green Bay businessman and a longtime member of the Green Bay Packers executive committee, died Monday of a rare brain disease. He was 74.

"He was able to be part of what he always considered one of the greatest sports franchises in the world," said his wife Victoria, of Allouez. "He was proud of the fact that he was an instrumental part of getting (former general manager) Ron Wolf here."

In 1980, Fabry was 41 when he was elected to the team's board of directors. At the time, he was the youngest person ever to hold that position. A year later, he was elected to the executive committee and was ...
