Appleton middle-schoolers build guitars for Wounded Warriors

It started with an electric guitar that Marine Corps veteran and Fox Valley Technical College instructor Steve Gallagher built for himself.

Einstein Middle School teacher Donna McClelland saw the guitar during a visit to FVTC's Fabrication Lab last summer.

After the visit, McClelland, Gallagher and Paul Skaletski, Einstein's technology education teacher, created a project where students constructed and assembled an electric guitar for each branch of the military - and the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team. ...
