Gold Cross sued for wage compensation claim

Employee alleges company denied him payment for pre-shift work

A paramedic has filed a federal lawsuit against Gold Cross, alleging the company denied him overtime and other compensation and illegally rounded recorded work hours.

Alan Frank, who has been working for Gold Cross Ambulance Service since 2006, filed a class-action lawsuit in the United States District Court Green Bay division in October. He claims Gold Cross uses an unlawful compensation system that deprives non-exempt employees of regular pay and overtime.

A Gold Cross official said the company received the lawsuit Friday and disputes the allegations. ...
