Algoma's storybook football season came to an abrupt end Nov. 1, as the Wolves lost 46-27 to Iola-Scandinavia in a level-two Div. 6 playoff game at Southern Door High School.

The upset loss is even more surprising when you factor in that second-seeded Algoma (9-1) held a 21-7 lead midway into the second quarter. At the end of the first half third-seeded Iola-Scandinavia (9-2) grabbed a five-point lead and all of the momentum.
