Thousands come out to see 'American Idol' winner Phillip Phillips perform at UWSP (with video)

After months of delays and hours of waiting in the cold, fans of the 2012 "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips got their chance to see the singer and songwriter do what he does best Sunday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Phillips originally was scheduled to perform in May but was forced to delay the concert twice before rescheduling it for Sunday at UWSP's Quandt Fieldhouse. Despite the nearly five-month delay, fans were willing to endure a long wait in line, hoping to get the best spot in the house.
