The Green Bay Packers will re-sign quarterback Matt Flynn, but his role will be strictly as a backup to Scott Tolzien in Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that Flynn was in Green Bay earlier in the day for a workout, and according to multiple reports, the sixth-year quarterback will be added to the 53-man roster.
