In an effort to ensure third-string quarterback Scott Tolzien has a healthy backup when he makes his first NFL start Sunday, the Green Bay Packers placed quarterback Seneca Wallace on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday and made the signing of Matt Flynn official.
Wallace, who started Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, sustained a groin injury during Green Bay's first offensive series. It was Wallace's first start with the Packers and was necessitated by No. 1 quarterback Aaron Rodgers' collarbone injury the previous week. Rodgers is expected to miss at least the next two games.
