De Pere High School's girls swimming team barely missed advancing at least a couple individuals to the WIAA Division 1 swimming and diving state meet in Madison this week.

The Redbirds' season ended Saturday in the swimming portion of the sectional at Neenah High School.

The winners in each swimming event and also the 18 fastest individuals or relay teams in each event among non-winners in the six sectionals qualified for the state meet, which will be this Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Natatorium. ...
