Background: Henpecked paint salesman Harold Finnegan is trying to write his umpteenth third-rate detective story on his typewriter. As he writes, the audience sees the actions played out by actors on stage. As Finnegan corrects his writing, the actors are forced to revise their actions. Strange characters keep cropping up - characters with the power to stop the play and freeze the other characters, leaving the audience wondering, who really is writing the play anyway?

What they're saying: "I am really excited for this play," said senior Sarah Braatz. "It's entertaining with a lot of back and forth humor, and it keeps you guessing the whole time."

Take-home message: "The kids are doing an amazing job on this interesting production," director Trisha Hunter said. "It is not the normal play idea and they are fully embracing their unique characters and adding life to the stage."
