Same 6 players sit out practice again

Nov. 14, 2013

File/AP

The Green Bay Packers had the same six players miss practice on Thursday as Wednesday.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers (collarbone), cornerback Casey Hayward (hamstring), outside linebacker Nick Perry (foot/ankle), guard Don Barclay (knee), outside linebacker Mike Neal (abdomen) and defensive lineman Johnny Jolly (groin) all sat out practice.

Center Evan Dietrich-Smith (knee) took part in most drills in Thursday’s padded practice and appears to have a decent or better chance of playing Sunday against the New York Giants after injuring a knee during last Sunday's game against Philadelphia.

Marshall Newhouse replaced Barclay at right tackle after the latter’s injury last week and likely will do so again if Barclay can’t play Sunday.
