Greater Wausau: Stained glass windows part of The Grand's facelift (with video)

New windows will help draw attention to historic originals

Thousands of people walk under some nifty pieces of glass craftsmanship at The Grand theater every week, but most don't even notice the stained glass windows above the main entry doors.

But on Thursday, local stained glass artisans Denis and Janine Daniels of the town of Texas, the owners of Woodland Glass Arts, installed eight more windows above the smaller front entryways to The Grand. By incorporating the visual theme of the art deco glasswork throughout the The Grand's facade, the new windows will help draw people's attention to the old ones.
