Palin 'thrives on divisiveness'

Just what this community needs, Palin to stir up the flames of controversy that has already been settled. She thrives on divisiveness and if it helps her make a buck so much the better for her. I, for one do not welcome her here.

Perfect choice of venue

Let's see. We have the country's most famous grifter ex-politician visiting a corporation that refuses to pay its workers a living wage, in a community where mass transit is prohibited and even sidewalks don't always exist on the way to Walmart because otherwise the "wrong people" might visit Rib Mountain. And she's hawking a book about the over-commercialization of Christmas a month before Christmas. Perfect!

- John Moody

Quit hating on Palin

I have news for all of you haters. Palin is a businesswoman and she is promoting her book, and, yes, it makes her money. If you do not want to buy it then don't; no one is making you buy it or read it - and no one is forcing you to shop at Walmart, either. We all have choices of where we shop and what we read. God bless America. At least she has ambition. The way I see it, you all are jealous and have to spread your hate because you have nothing better to do.

- Michelle Hough

Palin is a patriot

I can't wait. I am making the trip to see Sarah. She is the most recognized woman in the world, stylish, and well spoken. Patriots, employed Americans and those with half a brain will attend. Those of you who lack the mental capacity can stay home.

Liberals are hypocrites

Nice to see all the "tolerant," "diversity"-loving liberals out in force. They always show their true colors. They promote free speech if it agrees with their way of thinking and stifle those who disagree. What a bunch of hypocrites.

- Tim Rheinschmidt

Too bad she's not downtown

I'm sure there will be a line around the building for an autographed copy of her book. I just wish her PR folks would have set it up at the Janke Book Store downtown to support a locally owned small business.
