Wausau man reaches plea deal in fatal heroin-related crash

A 22-year-old Mosinee man accused of selling heroin to a friend just before the friend died in a drug-related crash will learn his fate in January but will not face additional charges connected with the death.

Kyle Kennedy was found guilty Nov. 4 in Marathon County Circuit Court on a single felony charge of delivering heroin, after he reached a plea agreement with prosecutors. Seven additional charges - all misdemeanors - were dismissed as part of the agreement, including three counts of obstruction and four counts of bail jumping. He will be sentenced Jan. 31.
