Southern Door has the potential to make some noise this high school boys basketball season.

First-year head coach Josh Rankin inherits a talented and deep team, with 10 players returning from last year's squad that finished 12-11 overall and 10-4 in the Packerland Conference.

On paper, at least, the Eagles appear ready to make a serious run at their first conference championship since the 2007-08 season. They placed third in the eight-team league last season behind unbeaten Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran (14-0) and runner-up Sturgeon Bay (11-3). ...
