Smith medals twice to lead Clippers at state swim meet

Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol's Arica Smith accomplished her goal of making the awards podium at the WIAA Division 2 state high school girls swimming meet.

And she did it twice.

Smith capped off her prep career in fine fashion, placing third in the 50-yard freestyle and tying for fifth in the 100 freestyle Friday night at the University of Wisconsin Natatorium in Madison. A four-time state qualifier in both events, Smith had never previously finished higher than eighth. ...
