Developers unveil plans for NewPage site in Kimberly

Before it was called Kimberly, this community was known as The Cedars, and developers want a new neighborhood at the former NewPage mill site to pay homage to its roots.

The new Cedars at Kimberly will host commercial, residential and green space corridors along the Fox River, said Adam Hammatt, the village's administrator.

"We want quite a bit of green space along the river and public access," Hammatt said. "There's a major residential component and we will utilize the existing six-story tower along the river. Those historic buildings will be the focal point." ...
