500 friends to be served for Thanksgiving

Kewaunee County holds a special place in the hearts of five women who will give up their at-home Thanksgiving meal, to give about 500 residents that very experience.

For the fifth consecutive year, Friends for Thanksgiving, a nonprofit organization, will host a community meal from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 28 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Luxemburg. With the help of their family members, these women will give out free Thanksgiving meals to those with social or economic need.
