Donor battling cancer makes substantial contribution

The story of Treyden Kurtzweil's battle with cancer, which sparked compassion and generosity in thousands of people, now will touch the lives of other pediatric cancer patients.

After Treyden lost his fight with acute lymphocytic leukemia shortly after his first birthday in June, his parents, Cassie and Travis Kurtzweil of Stratford, rallied their strength to work with Marshfield Clinic on a Northwoods cabin-themed waiting room for young cancer patients and their families.

Their goal was to raise $50,000 to transform the space into Treyden's Cabin, but they were unsure how long ...
